Focurile de artificii reprezintă un pericol, precum pocnitorile, a se ţine la o lungime de braţ: suficient de aproape pentru a părea frumoase, puternice şi ademenitoare, dar totuşi destul de departe de a fi în siguranţă.
Acest exploziv documentar NOVA prezintă „colorata” istorie a pirotehnicii (artificiilor) şi dezvăluie secretele chimice care au reuşit să pună „pocniturile” în rachete, şi „fâsîielile”, în lumânările romane. Spectacolul ne prezintă o pleiadă de persoane preocupate de artificii, creatori şi admiratori, dar ne şi dezvăluie modul în care sistemele hi-tech de lansare (o disciplină secundară a pirotehniei artificiilor), ajung să transforme adunările publice, într-un spectacol orbitor de culori. |
